Mr. Charles A. "Z" Buda and his wife Mrs. Annette Buda
Mr. "Z" Buda was three-term mayor of Morristown from 1971-1977. His local business interests included Z Buda's Minnis Drugs, Crescent Center Drugs and Buffalo Trail Drugs.
Buda was an early pioneer in the development of Pigeon Forge: he opened the first pancake restaurant, established the Apple Tree Inn Restaurant as a landmark, and operated the only drug store for 20 years. He was co-owner of the Coliseum, home of the nationally known Grand Ole Opry Show.
As owner/developer of the Z Buda Outlet Mall, he was one of the contributors to the growth of the discount merchandising for which the community has become widely known.
Buda's philanthropic interests emphasized assistance to young people.
