	Mr. Boyd G. "Jack" Johnson, Jr. and Shelby Williams, Inc. This scholarship was established in memory of Mr. Sam Nichols Ferrell. Mr. Ferrell received a bachelor's degree from Tennessee Technological University and had a certified publiuc accountant (CPA) credential from the state of Tennesee. Mr. Ferrell was an adjunct in the business division at Walters State from 1978-1980 and 1989-1991. He was known by his students for "his hands-on knowledge of the business world." In addition to his adjunct teaching, Mr. Ferrell was a full-time employee of Shelby Williams Industries, Inc. where he served as assistant controller. Scholarships associated with Mr. Boyd G.
