Mr. Edward J. "Rusty" Hardin, IV
This scholarship has been established in memory of Rusty's parents, E.J. "Ed" Hardin and Besty Hardin. Ed served as a trustee of the Walters State Foundation and was a member of the Executive Committe of the foundation. Ed's commitment to his family and the Claiborne County community was unquestionable. Ed established both the EJ Hardin, III Memorial Scholarship and the Mattie J. Hardin Memorial Scholarship as a tribute to his parents so that Claiborne County students could benefit for years to come. Rusty has continued Ed's legacy to support the Claiborne County community through this endowment.
