Joe and Lisa Hill and Tim Vick, parents of Brandon Vick
Brandon's parents, Joe and Lisa Hill and Tim Vick, created this scholarship as a memorial to their son Brandon, whose life ended tragically in August 2002. Brandon was 18 years old and only days away from beginning his freshman year at Walters State. He was an outstanding young man active in his church and an enthusiastic golfer who had played four years on the William Blount Golf Team. He has worked on golf courses since he was 14, with a goal of a career in the turf grass industry. While nothing can fill the void the hole that Brandon's death has left in the lives of his family and friends, it is the fervent wish of his parents that the life of each recipient of this scholarship is touched by the legacy of love Brandon inspired. Brandon's parents' wish each recipient a full life enhanced by his or her enthusiasm for golf and hope that at some appropriate point in the future that each recipient will pass on his or her good fortune by contributing back to this fund for the benefit of future generations.
